THE FEASTING PLACE is located in Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo, New Mexico. North of Española, Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo is one of the Eight Northern Pueblos found along the Rio Grande. In this Pueblo is where you find the Feasting Place.

Norma Naranjo began her business, THE FEASTING PLACE, after retiring in 1999 from the U.S. Public Health Corp as a Social Worker. Before she retired, she was receiving so many requests to prepare traditional dishes for various events that soon people began suggesting she start a catering business.
Norma grew up in Ohkay Owingeh (previously called San Juan Pueblo) where her family raised cattle and farmed. Both Norma's mother Margaret and her grandmother RosaLeah, were great cooks and bakers. By the age of 10, Norma was helping them with cooking and beginning to master the art of baking bread and pies in the family's horno (a beehive-shaped adobe oven-pictured at right).
Norma's mission or philosophy is “Food is much more than just eating.” Food is a necessity that brings families together. “Back when most people raised their own food and had the time to cook, we were healthier people, physically, mentally and spiritually."
